Best snare drum I’ve owned !!

I didn’t realize how heavy (weight wise) this snare was going to be BUT the sound it produces is like no other snare I’ve ever owned! The changing of heads is faster in person than seen on the videos! Dialtune snares have perpetually out done themselves!

Clear balanced sound

Man! I had a gig the night it arrived and hand had time to check it out before. Just pulled it out and started playing . When I first struck the wood Dialtune with my stick it was really loud but clear and balanced. I didn’t have to put much effort into it to get the sound out of it. The ghost notes are amazingly crisp. After around the 3rd or 4th song I settled into it didn’t have to play as hard to get the crack I wanted. In a slow song I dialed it down in real time and was equally very impressed!
I must say it’s heavy compared to other snares but I was also playing a 12” snare before this so that explains a lot. Solid construction and looks great !
The engineer recorded the band that night and when I listened back, I was really really amazed, but next time I would put some moon gels on top just for the ring.Otherwise, I’m happy and not a bad price as well .

The ultimate studio snare!

I'm genuinely blown away by this snare. I own a recording studio and have 10 or so snares, including some vintage classics and modern custom builds, but since getting the aluminum Dialtune, it's been used on almost every drum session I've done. It sounds fantastic at a variety of tunings, and it's sooooo easy to dial in the right sound for the song. I seriously can't recommend this enough!
