I received my 3 piece Matte Black kit 2 weeks ago. It has turned out to be as great as i could have wanted. I had a studio recording session last week and brought my DW kit which i of course love, and also brought the new Dialtune kit. We set both up to get tones and see which was sounding better. I had expected we would track with the DW. But it turned out the Dialtune kit sounded significantly better! We tracked with it and the drums came out fantastic. Really happy with Dialtune, im now using it on my live gigs too. I’m even ordering a 10” tom to complete this kit😃

Very well thought out and solidly constructed. I've had my dialtune snare drum for over 4 years now and still love it. Have tried several different heads and tunings looking for different sounds and dialtune makes it so easy to do this.

Maple snare in maple burst finish
Been playing the maple burst snare for about 3 weeks and IT IS the game changer that all the reviews claim! Went from high crack for pop tune to the lowest tuning for a country ballad in the time between songs, live on stage, then back to the high tuning. The band thought I was triggering the ballad snare sound! I’m still using the original head and it sounds great. Only maintenance issue so far is had to tighten the set screw on the dial for the top head.

The best drum tuning system ever developed.
I had been waiting for these drums since I first bought the Dialtune snare drum and I ended up with kit #12 of the first batch. These drums are everything I had hoped they would be. When I set them up, they tuned instantly and sounded amazing. I prefer Ambassador heads, so ordered them and once they arrived, it took literally 5 minutes to change all the heads! Until this drum kit, I've never been able to hear so clearly the relationship between the top and bottom heads and how you can play with the tones by adjusting the bottom head. Besides the revolutionary tuning system, the six ply, maple drum shells, project and sound punchy and warm. If you're looking for a new drum set look no further. Amazing design!

Worth the wait…!
I ordered my complete set in August in batch one. Prior to ordering it I had done quite a bit of research and online reviews of the snare drum itself as it had been out for sometime at that point. It was a novel idea and it seemed to hold up to scrutiny and punishment very well.
Just to get a small grip out of the way, a few of the grub screws for the dials were a bit loose on the drums. I contacted customer support and was responded to immediately with photos and tool sizes in order to double check that everything is tightened properly. After doing so everything was absolutely perfect.
I have about 20 hours of time on the set and I couldn’t be happier. The ability to adjust your tone at a moments noticed is amazing. Beyond that, the drum hardware itself is top quality. As well as the maple shells.
After owning the snare drum for about seven months, I was a little bit concerned about the weight of the complete kit itself. I was surprised to find that all of the toms, and the kick drum itself were similar in weight to any standard drum. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase and it is by far the best drum set I’ve ever owned. And I can’t speak more highly of the customer service. I was always responded to promptly even while awaiting the pre-order which did take a bit longer than expected. They seem to really have their stuff down, and I would absolutely order more of their products without thinking twice. They stand behind what they built and what they built is game changing and amazing.
